Balancing Act: Don't Forget Important Occasions

When planning a wedding, it's unbelievable how quickly your weekends are booked.  It's important to scale back your routine and responsibilities,  leaving extra time and energy for addressing invitations and dissecting guest lists. The busier you are, the better you become at ignoring other activities, increasing the chances you'll ignore or downplay an even that is truly important.  As you  make your plans it's important to recognize the responsibilities you absolutely cannot cancel, and be sure to give them adequate emphasis.

Over the next two months I have Valentines day, a birthday, and a big anniversary to celebrate with Hannah.  Despite planning a wedding, I can't treat these occasions as anything less than special.  Special occasions are great chances to step away from the wedding and enjoy each other.  If you're trying to save money and already spending too much on the wedding, don’t worry about scaling back the gifts. Just be sure, however, that you're giving enough thought and energy into the day.  It is too easy to let important activities fall through the cracks--though you're busy and stressed there are some responsibilities that can’t be left behind.

PS:  Happy Birthday Mom , Love You.
