Grooms 'Break Away' from Wedding Planning

My life isn't just wedding planning, that is merely a fraction of my life I've chosen to share with you all.  So, to everyone who’s concerned that I've given up on all things manly, today's post is for you.  Besides supporting Hannah through wedding planning, I also play in an adult hockey league. I've played on team Lowenbrau (#41) for about a year, and I love being on the ice!

Saturday morning I was busy registering for table settings and cloth napkins while Saturday night I was taking a cheap shots to the back as a dirty team beat us 4-3.  Today I'm tired, sore, and resting an injury to my left shoulder after falling face-first to the ice with my arm twisted in the wrong direction.  Every groom needs an escape from wedding planning and believe me, three periods of hockey does the trick.

Unfortunately, I've had to miss 3 of my last 4 games, leaving my line without their center, but the team has been very understanding of my change in focus.

  2. You guys should have some Hanson Brother from Slapshot to come in and enforce, or the Bash Brothers from the Mighty Ducks. Gotta protect your neck!

  3. You should have proposed to Hannah on the ice. Or you could have put the ring in a puck and shot it to the stadiums.
