The handkerchief or pocket square is probably one of my favorite groom accessories. It is an excellent way to add personal touch and detailing to your groom's wear, but just as important its crucial for tears or sweat. This is why when selecting the right pocket square, be sure to consider the functionality. If its not designed to handle a sneeze or watery eyes, pass. Your wedding day pocket square is certainly a piece you'll carry the rest of your life, and it will only set you back a few bucks so why not?

I'm attending a wedding in early July with my boyfriend. The invitation states that coat and tie attire is requested. Obviously this doesn't mean black tie, but how formal does this mean we need to get? Does he really need a coat? Do I need to wear a floor length dress? Help!
ReplyDeleteIt is one of my favorite accessory and i want it very different because it adds a nice grace to groom's personality.
ReplyDeleteI am wearing a blue pin striped suit with a white shirt with cufflings for New Year's. What color of pocket square would you recommend I wear? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHands in your pocket is usually a relaxed pose that would suggest that the person is not threatened and is even submissive. It can also suggest, given the circumstances, that a person is "closed" to other ideas or resigned to an outcome.
ReplyDeleteThese days of greater knowledge of global warming and vanishing forests, there is always this dilemma.
ReplyDeleteI think it's very usual in a wedding to put a handkerchief in the pocket of the groom. It looks nice actually.

I don't know if you can see this picture since its from my brother's myspace, and it might be private. But the paint job was done by hand and the insides are all after market stuff. The shifter, and the knobs on the dash are all pool table themed..
